Ep. 66: Beau is Afraid, and Weirdly Absurd

Cinema of Meaning

The Fear of Judgment

In the first version there is a more of a one-on-one confrontation where Bo does kind of fight back by explaining that the supposedly unconditional love that his mother kept giving him wasn't so unconditional at all. He actually felt tremendously like pressured by it or like he felt like it wasn't some way transactional and he ends up killing his mother in that encounter. At the end, we're looking at the audience and maybe if you can see it as sort of a mirror of ourselves like it's kind of maybe questioning you what does this mean to you?
