The Positives and Negatives of Upbringing
I think both the positives and the negatives of my upbringing really set me up to question the context to question the system. So especially if a child is outside of the normative expectation box, the community they're in. And by the time I got into the public schools, which was my first job out of grad school, I was already pretty interested in doing what she could to resist compliance based systems.
