Why Education Must Change

In 1920, there were two billion people on the planet; today there are seven billion. I don't think there's a single aspect of human existence that won't be affected by that graph. The National Academy of Engineering in the US has been looking ahead at the kinds of challenges that our species is going to have to deal with. These all fit into four major areas, security, sustainability, health and enhancing life as the number of people grows.
