I think I'd like to ask you about a few other words that you use, concepts. And another one is beauty. How do you think of that as a scientist and a theologian, has that worked together? Well, beauty is a very interesting thing. And a form of beauty that is important to me is mathematical beauty. That's a rather austere form of aesthetic pleasure. But it means something like economy and elegance - what the mathematicians call being deep. We found in theoretical physics that the fundamental laws of nature are always mathematically beautiful.
