Is the Potawatomi Massacre an Act of Terrorism?
The Potawatomi massacre escalated the conflict in Kansas to a new level. Pro-slavery forces staged what affected to a full-scale invasion of the territory. Brown's actions are most famous because they were five killings and he strategically used swords rather than guns which would have alerted neighbors. This is the nature of guerrilla warfare. It is brutal and bloody but it is not terrorism.
