"I've never been in a position where I'm sharing finances with a man so I don't have personal experience with this," she says. "But from what I've seen, it's been quite traditional. It's been everyone, especially if they're getting married or if they're living together." In terms of young couples, many people put all of their money together and then maybe have separate saving accounts, but not necessarily separate spending accounts. She adds: "It seems to be a trend where it's maybe would have been weird when they first started like 20, 30 years ago, but now it's like, yeah, do it".
