The Power of Extreme Weather Events
In 2002, there were 500 year floods in Eastern Europe. And then the next year was hottest weather in France and Cystri. So at that time, I concluded that what was going to force the world to address climate change was these extreme weather events. They're getting more and more extreme. We're writing this week about the hot weather. This is the hottest July in 10,000 years. Pretty soon it's going to be so hot, people won't even be able to go outside during the day.
