The EPA's Report on Lead Cable Contamination
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences found 330 lead cables underwater in critical areas for the drinking water supply. Capitol Hill lawmakers are considering new legislation and asking questions to the companies. A number of telecom companies told the journal they don't believe their lead cables are a public health hazard; others say no amount of contact is safe.
