In order for us to imagine a world where we can truly cherish and care about other people, we got to heal the parts of ourselves that are tromatized. And we also have to heal our inclination to harm people. When we get hurt, when someone says something cruel to us, we want to lash out. That's why we move into social justice worlds? Because we know what it’s like to be hurt...and we want to feel better.
