i grew up in ityo knew new orleans is so diverse in a lot of ways. But as a kid who's mixed race, you don't really go into a room and seea an entire room ful of people who look like you. I never shaw se like celebrity cultures or people on billboards who looked like me. So i think because even from a really early age, i never, because i never looked like anyone, and no one ever looked like me, i always knew that, you know, there was this value in being able to feel comfortable even though you're different.
