Broadly, performance results relative to the s m p 500 tended to be more severe than absolute outcomes. Far too many investors focus on the rear view mirror ande act to fear inducing headlines. Markets are supposed to pay a risk or fear premium to reward risk bearing. Perception of risk and fear tend to go hand in hand.
