Is There a Problem With Objects That Aren't Referenced?

In git, there are a thing such as abandoned objects. An object that isn't pointed to by anything is an 'orphan' commit. The get g c command for the garbage collection will go through and prune all those objects out. Tats: Maybe i'm wrong about how this system works? We'll find out.
