CHAPTER

The Wisdom of Crowdsourcing

The founding fathers, including Madison, had a really deep knowledge of Greek democracy and were largely trying to rebuild the virtues of democracy while avoiding the pitfalls that they saw in the Greek democracy. The problem is with people chasing their tails and just thinking saying whatever the person next to them thinks. So do you agree with the mob comment like that even as Socrates closed? I've always assumed that that comment from Madison was mob in a pejorative sense. And I think the context justifies that. But I got to say, I don't know. Everybody who understands better what the meanings of words were at the time would appreciate that.
