When Jack Kennedy died, the whole country was really in a state of shock, but I think it hit Bobby the hardest. Janker Hoover kind of did this bloodlessly with no emotion. He just delivered this news in like monotone bullet points in a briefing. And Hoover also starts briefing Lyndon Johnson directly about updates from the FBI and doing this behind the Attorney General's back. The other thing is, his power was significantly diminished.
