i would encourage you to suspend your disbelief for the sake of this conversation a, and that because curiosity will serve you more than scepticism. I certainly didn't really understand how to think in this way until i had the experiencef of drinking this medicine. It's got a fundamental distrust of human beings claiming to have any spiritual knowledge instead.
