Firsts in the House of Representatives
Axios reporter, Shana Chen has been watching these through the night and has a few to share. We saw trailblazing last night on both sides of the aisle. Sri Tanadar from Michigan will be the first Indian American to represent the state in the House. Also among candidates of color, California's House candidate Robert Garcia is set to be the first out LGBTQ immigrant in Congress. Massachusetts also elected women for both governor and lieutenant governor posts.
