Sea Horse Fossils - What Are They?

These are the oldest sea horse fossils, 15 million years old. They were preserved in groupings of typically young sea horses. This is unusual among sea horse fossils and it gives us some interesting insights. One had to do with the type of behaviour the young showed right after birth. The other bit of inference is a pretty obvious and straightforward, youthing about brute size. It's very likely, if they were settling down after birth, that you'll get a group of closely related sea horses.
