The Rise of the Roguelike Class
Tharsis is a roguelike that's meant to be serious and sort of explore the more realistic side of like humanity in these trying moments but it still has to be a video game. You keep getting back up again in darkest dungeon too and that's ultimately how you push through all of your backlog of emotional stuff. There are unique qualities quirks things that make each character distinct, says developer Andy Tyler. The characters also have this layer of a relationship dynamic that ties them in a in a kind of emergent lovely unique way to their party members. Players can start a new run with the same classes once they unlock them or even just one class at a time for longer runs than normal
