Do You Want to Go On? Ned Cast. Yes.

I was taught to train dogs by a gang keeper when I got my first dog on my own at 21. The secret, while secret, says it's not almost bleeding obvious: don't try and train them too young. A golden retriever is a very slow to mature. Still puppies really well past one, and they don't really reach maturity until about two or three. It's not worth doing any serious training before they're about five, six months old. And he isn't yet. He'll respond if he wants something, but won't if he doesn't. That will come in about four or five weeks time.
