The History of Sexuality

Gloria Borger has been thinking for quite a long time about questions of animality and wildness. Some of that comes out of her previous work on the history of sexuality. She says she was interested in Ganymede's dogs, because they become a figure of kind of protest against sexual abuse. The rhetoric of animalization is also an important part of how people are dehumanized by imagery.
