The Role of Critical Analysis in History

I think the consumption was always there. In other words, going to the library in my day and opening books and just looking at pictures was certainly something we did. But of course the rate of consumption was model T level compared to what we're doing now. You know, but it did influence your thinking. And then you went and created it because you had this stuff in your head. We did have, and I agree, more hero, you know, because the way history was taught and things were presented. It was a little bit more of the hero as dominant figure. Although I think it crambroke that changed a bit once we were there.
