Think of field theory in terms of particles is not completely comprehensive. It works when you can think safely about tiny perturbations in the field. fox space is a specific kind of hillwerd space that is only relevant in specific circumstances. Jonathan goodson says, yes, i am kind of optimistic that we are making progress on the foundations of quanta mechanics. But also, just to be slightly and about it, is that 50 years is my go to amount of time to make predictions,. ecause i will probably be dead by then.
