The Christian must never lose heart, even in the face of tremendous earthly loss. We should be able to say with Job, though he slay me, I will hope in him. And so my point is that if your faith is in Jesus Christ, you have an eternal hope,. Your optimism anchored in an eternal hope. Any tendency towards pessimism that might engender in you is ultimately should be checked by a hope that is eternal.
