The Reward System in Business and Corporate America
I think it's coupled also with something, another phenomenon which you know, and that is the pressure to be not just specialized, but to kind of be specialized, specialized. I mean, we all have to be an expert in one very specific thing. The big picture and thinking broadly gets beaten out of them in terms of the reward system. And so losing that across the whole spectrum of things that computers has allowed me to do makes one. It potentially introduces lazy thinking,. Now I may be wrong in that because it also gives you this incredible power to do other things. So there's clearly trade off. But my concern is more and more we're going to lose the power of understanding things
