The History of Canadian English

There is such a thing as Canadian English and it's interesting because it struggles in some ways British and American English. The word Canada probably has its root in the language of one of them which was the Huron Iroquois tribes. And Canadians are known as Knooks quite often but that is quite derogatory. Canook apparently comes from that first syllable of Canada but as far as I can tell, please be careful how you use it. But obviously our wonderful purple Canadian listeners can tell us whether that is the case.
