Introduction
axios is a year long project examining systemic racism in the us. The workers we've deemed essential are the ones least likely to have basic health insurance. About forty percent of workers in cleaning jobs like janitors and maids are latino. That's one reason why so many latinos don't have health care coverage. In particular, we're zeroing in on something called the public charge role.
