How to Use Flux to Automate Your Workflow
Flux is a GitHub store. So we don't change the cluster state directly. We detect out there is a new version of engine X, let me open up a request on your repo. We pump the version for you, but it's up to you to merge it or you can configure flux to direct we push to the branch and synchronize it automatically. For example, for testing and staging environments, we can just say to flux, whatever the latest version is, do it directly and run tests for me after you do it. But the application controller can do even more than just notification and you can use it as a promotion API. And we have a nice integration with GitHub dispatching
