Public speaking is probably the biggest and most amplified version of the halo effect. If someone can stand up there and do a presentation to a whole group of people, it doesn't matter really how good she is at her job. We have to narrate all this information and data that's happening in the world usually to a nice coherent story. And sometimes this story and the map that you've created is quite different to the reality.
