If you're talking about something that's happened today, it's very likely that you'll use the perfect tense. For example, we've already come across esta manana. Eit esquito una cara. Una cara, perfecto. And notice that it's exactly the same verb in Spanish. It's the same tense in Spanish, even though we changed that form in English.
