Jane Shevatambara Monks - The Mughal Other

This book came about essentially because of material that I found when I was doing research for my first book, Culture of Encounters. So we have Jane's at the Mughal court for slightly a little bit less than 40 years. And you also mentioned here, and something I found really fascinating, that Jane's were more willing to acknowledge and write about their links with the Mughals than were the Brahmins. The third thing that I found really exciting in this chapter was you talk about three genres of text, chronicles, inscriptions, and biographies.
