Preaching Can Be an Idol to Me

A lot of our idolatry is unconscious, but it hit me when I couldn't preach for years. We can turn important people in our lives into idols. An idol is something that we feel we need in order to breathe. When we elevate these good gifts from God into ultimate sources of meaning, this is the thing that makes me feel alive.
