Pain Management in Palitive Care

Oxicadon is my first line alternative, and is generally very well tolerated where morphine isn't. Pregablin or antitricyclic with amatriplin can be used in conjunction with opiot to treat neurapathic pain - a burning or stabbing sort of pains. These drugs have the similer side effect profile of drowsiness and potentially clouding somebody's cognition so you have to warn people. But aside from some of the controversies outside of palaseof care, when they use well, in in our field, forfor a limited period of time...they are generally well tolerated and good drugs to use.
