The Importance of Semantics in Communication

There's both of these common to play, and again, it taxonomy. SCOS itself is a way of saying a term has a relationship to another term that is broader than narrower than. It has a relation to a literal value that is preferred term or non-preferred term. That is also something that you could encode in SCOS, and you'd have a taxonomy. And the technology is there, the ability to encode semantics is there. It's just the will to do it that isn't.
