The Two Kingdoms Doctrine
Lutherans have a sort of two kingdoms doctrine, but so many misunderstand what that means. When an institution is co-opted, Satan achieves two victories: He gets to use that institution to teach his doctrines with the authority it has because of its history. And then additionally, he has destroyed an institution that probably took generations to build and any replacement will also take generations to build.
