The White Socks: How to Choose a Direction

I think the tricky thing with this team is choosing a direction. If you don't have a great system to fall back on, do you trade the veterans that are about to be gone? Do you just trade all of them? Hope you get some young talent back and then push more resources into free agency because you don't really have a lot of payroll commitment. So that to me actually seems kind of logical if you're calling the shots for the white socks right now. It seems like they're a notch below those two teams, but they're better.
