How Did Writing This Book Change Your Understanding of Today's America Liberty and Defending Liberalism?

What is writing this book changed about your understanding of today's america liberty and defending liberalism? I can't say that that it changed my mind about how to make the case for freedom but it really underscored the importance of both in terms of scholarship but also in terms of fiction in terms of culture. If anybody's going to write the truthful history of the free market movement in this country it's going to have to be us believers in free markets.
