The U.S. is 53 trillion dollars in the red, according to a recent report. The country's financial system is 'dead' and its kids will have to take care of us if we don't make some major changes,. Kirk suggests paying off people's benefits by filling zeros in their earnings records from now into the future. And then all account balances are collectively invested in a global index of stocks, bonds, real estate investment trusts so everybody gets exactly the same return.
