There is a human aspect to sales that cannot be willed away with something like machines or even chat GPT. What humans have that machines don't is a sense of how relationships are built and what value is, what constitutes value in a sale. We just don't see multi-million dollar contracts between consulting firms and Fortune 500 companies being negotiated solely by machines.
