We all do coercive and manipulative things with people in our lives these these things happen it's just when it's persistent and a harmful and you don't notice it like i gave a very tiny example on instagram where i was helping my 13 year old pick out shoes. She had said she wanted gold shoes and i really felt like silver would look better but instead of being overt about it i just handed her the options of silver and said you get to choose she said well not really because you already just gave me silver options when i said i wanted to wear gold so what you mean is i get to choose among what you want me to wear. We can do these things in small ways
