The time line, it's compressed, i will say, in 19 91, it felt early. The monologue also sets up the voice over narration which is another warning sign for me. I think they 're trying to stay faithful to the 19 50 movie. Absolutely, people got marriedwhen they were 22, and 19 50 does not happen as much anymore. So this scene was re watchbul anyway, cause steve martin's so funny in it. It's totally re watchful in a different way now, because nobody gets married at age 22. Say, now i watch this sing like i got ot hoveit like an anerism.
