Alzheimer's and Aging Related Cognitive Degeneration

The CA3 region of the brain seems to be very early on affected in these with age related cognitive decline. So we started working with Gallaudet with a group by doing experiments. We find some cells that will respond, say, when the animals enter relative to an object here, but only when the object is to animals right. If the animal turns around, now the object's animals left to sell one fire. Other cells need to fire when the rats running around, when the walls of the apparatus are to its right. But when the rat turns around, and now when the walls to its left, the cell doesn't fire. So it seems to encode the world from the rats point
