Is There a Rock Between the Cleft of the Rock and Moses?

Moses himself wants us to see as a pattern that's going to be developed throughout later scriptures. Deuteronomy 18 talks about a prophet like Moses, who will come from the people of Israel and speak to God as Moses spoke to him. And I think by implication of the context, mediate for his people in the way that Moses mediated for his people but do so in a way that fully fulfills all of God's promises.
