Is There a Connection Between Being and Being?

He regards the fundamental experience of being as a kind of fatea something given to us, something that over which we yonow, do not have mastery. He calls it a distant command to recapture the greatness of the beginning of western thought. Only if we resolutely submit this distant command will science become the innermost necessity of our being. That is, resoluteness in the form of submission to something that is com ending us.
