The Antitrust Authority Fines Juice Plus for Unfair Commercial Practice
Antitrust authority found a form of cult marketing carried out mainly through secret Facebook pages and groups. In February 2020, the Australian Department of Health stated The Juice Plus company Australia has paid penalties of 37,800 after the Therapeutic Goods Administration issued three infringement notices for alleged advertising breaches relating to vitamin products. And last but not least, the FTC here in the US had to tell Juice Plus that their representatives needed to stop unlawfully advertising that Juice Plus could prevent or treat COVID-19.
