How Cheik Translated the Book of Mark
Cheik translated the book of matthew in his own distinctive handwriting. He tried to produce a translation in the most basic and pure form of english that had been attempted since the anglo saxon period. The translation is somewhat obscure and didn't really have any impact on later translations of the bible. But it is a curious relic from a time when some English scholars were trying to roll back the clock by returning to their ancestors' language.
