We don't actually ever know how sincere he has been. He says he doesn't, he couldn't stand it if it was the end of the two of them. But is that real? Yeah. And she will never know in neither will we, but she'll settle for the illusion if it is an illusion. It's been a great love for her in a way. In fact, it's been her only love. We never hear about anyone else. There isn't anyone else. Why do you think she's never asked him to leave his wife? She knows he'll say no. So she's not going to push. That was a sad episode.
