The Theory of Types - A Theory of Meaning

Theory of types suggests that we need to have a hierarchy of objects. So there's ground level objects, there's classes of those objects and so on. And you can't treat classes higher up as some are members of classes low down. That makes us think that actually the world of objects is more structured and complicated than we originally thought.
