A Brief History of the Murchison Depression
Louis and jack set off on foot, carrying their belongings in swags. Without much money to spend on accommodation, they made do with what they could find. Lowis was an aved letter writer and also wrote regularly to his family and friends back home in new zealand. By mid 19 30 the murchison area was feeling the impact of the depression,. Many station hands lost their jobs, including lewis. On his search for employment, he planned to travel to the hamlet of campion, where jack lemon was now living, to pay him a visit.
