How to Celebrate First Birthdays With Friends and Family
I think getting cards or calls from people who are a little distant from us in time and space is a nice way to keep those connections alive without falsely pretending that they're closer. This could be as simple as just talking with your friend and saying, Hey, I know the kids birthdays are coming up. Any good ideas this year? And so I've always tried to do both. One that's a little bit more age appropriate and one that's something special for her future.
