How to Recognize Misinformation Online
Most people get their information and news online. That's where they consume it the most, but that's also the least trustworthy source of information. How much of this is due to people just trying to confirm what they already believe? We found a lot in our research of people who we did a survey on the greater community of Gainesville. About 50% of people said that they will do less research on information they see online if it aligns with their beliefs.
